Unexpected and sensational: the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) prize for the category “DVD Performance” has been awarded to the boxed set Rereading Brahms of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana and its principal conductor Markus Poschner! An OSI production sponsored by Helsinn, the orchestra’s International Partner, issued on two DVDs by Sony Classical in December 2016: the complete symphonies of Johannes Brahms recorded live by RSI-Radiotelevisione svizzera during the first concert season in the LAC Sala Teatro in Lugano.
